7. Install a control valve in the return line between the fi rst and second tee or prior to the vessel inlet on the bypass
line to control the water fl ow through the bypass.
8. Hand tighten all unions, sensors, and collars.
Be careful not to get fi nger caught between inlet union and plug when tightening as this may cause an injury.
9. Fully open any closed valves, including the control valve, and start the pump diverting water through the new
bypass.
10. Check the vessel and system for leaks.
11. Adjust control valve so that fl ow rate through the vessel is between a minimum of 30 gpm (114 lpm) and a
maximum of 120 gpm (455 lpm).
