Using the Wheel Lifter (if present)
WARNING: IF THE WHEELS ARE HEAVY USE THE
LIFT DEVICE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE MACHINE
Should the user require it, the machine is provided with
a lift device that will raise the wheel or bare rim from
the ground to a height suitable for attachment.
This will prevent any excessive effort or potentially
harmful movements on the part of the operator.
Correct use of the Lift Device:
Figure 5.1-1
• Roll the wheel or bare rim onto the lifter footboard.
The rim drop centre must be positioned on the left
side, towards the machine exterior.
IMPORTANT!
THE RIM DROP CENTER, WHERE PRESENT, MUST
ALWAYS BE POSITIONED HIGH, NEXT TO THE
DEMOUNT TOOL
(Fig. 5.1-2)
• Move the lifter control pedal upwards (1),
accompanying the wheel or rim by hand so as to
ensure stability during the movement.
• Once the desired height has been reached, release
the pedal.
• Set the wheel or bare rim down on the wheel support
fl ange.
• Move the lifter control pedal downwards.
• Release the pedal when the lifter has reached the
ground.
DO NOT MOUNT/DEMOUNT THE TIRE WITH THE
LIFTER IN THE RAISED POSITION.
