The goniometer supplied with the machine can be blocked
on the carriage at the desired angle by using the handle
(D).
By tightening the handle (D) clockwise, the fence blocks
on the rail in the desired position.
The two knurled knobs (E) allows you to make the
aluminum fence slide.
Cross cutting means cutting perpendicularly to wood fibres' direction. To cross cut, use the goniometer at 0°.
Before using it, be sure that it is locked on the desired angle.
For angle cut, adjust the cutting angle of the goniometer by loosening and tightening its screw, and press the
workpiece against it (Fig. 24). Use the goniometer on the side on which it does not risk to interfere with the
protective cap.
Oblique cut is a crosscut with the angled blade. Adjust the saw blade on the desired angle. Use the goniometer
in one of the grooves in order that it does not interfere with the protective cap.
Composed cut is a combination between an angle and a mitre cut. The cut is carried out at an angle different
from 90° both from workbench's surface and from the workpiece's length.
Cropping consists in cutting the wood along the fibres.
You must use the rip fence for all cropping works. Never trim a workpiece if the rip fence is not perfectly
blocked in its position on the workbench.
You must use the rip fence for all cropping works, with the angled blade or not.
Place the rip fence on the desired cutting width and tighten the lock handle. Before starting cropping check that
the rip fence is parallel to the saw blade and that the riving knife is perfectly aligned to the saw blade.
To trim big workpieces or panels always use a carriage to support the workpieces. Exert a light pressure and
always use the pusher until the piece is completely cut.
