5.3 Finishing the prosthetic socket
Required materials: mounting wrench, 633F30=2 Polylub GLY 801

1) Mark and trim the contour of the prosthetic socket.
2) Sand free the valve dummy and remove the Plastaband.
3) Unscrew the valve dummy and retain it. After fabricating the check sock­
et, the valve dummy is still required for the fabrication of the final pros­
thetic socket.
4) Remove the prosthetic socket from the plaster model.
5) Remove the piston dummy and silicone dummy from the plaster model
and insert into the cylinder so it is closed (see fig. 17).
6) Close the opening in the piston dummy with Plastaband.
7) Screw in the valve dummy (see fig. 18).
8) Sand the contour of the prosthetic socket.
9) Unscrew the valve dummy.
10) Remove the piston dummy and silicone dummy from the prosthetic sock­
et.
11) Wipe out the cylinder space with a lint-free cloth.
12) Grease the cylinder space and O-rings of the valve bushing with the
supplied Polylub GLY 801.
13) NOTICE! Do not allow the duckbill valve to come into contact with
grease.
Insert the duckbill valve into the valve bushing with the pointed end first
(see fig. 19).
14) Screw the valve bushing into the prosthetic socket (see fig. 20, torque
value: 3 Nm).
15) Insert the piston into the cylinder to the stop (see fig. 21).
16) Insert the stop ring into the thread of the cylinder and tighten it with the
mounting wrench (see fig. 22).

CAUTION
Using the product without a sealing sleeve
Risk of injury due to unexpected loosening of the connection
► Always use the product with a sealing sleeve so that a vacuum can be
generated.
