21) Cut a piece of carbon UD hose (1.5 times the length of the model).
22) Pull the carbon UD hose over the model up to the edge.
23) Tie the carbon UD hose in the groove of the lamination disc and fold it
back over the model (see Fig. 25).
24) Cut a piece of Perlon stockinette (twice the length of the model).
25) Pull the Perlon stockinette over the model to the edge.
26) Tie the Perlon stockinette in the groove of the lamination disc and fold it
back over the model.
27) Pull on the longer soaked PVA bag (see Fig. 26).
28) Perform the casting process with Orthocryl.

5.2.4 Finishing the outer socket

1) Mark and trim the preliminary contour of the outer socket in relation to
the position of the inner socket (see Fig. 27).
2) Mark the final contour of the outer socket (see Fig. 27). Ensure that suffi­
cient space for the femur condyles is maintained.
3) Sand the distal end of the socket flat down to the dummy and the head
of the countersunk head screw.
4) Unscrew the countersunk head screw and remove the prosthetic socket
from the model.
5) Remove the inner socket and foam cone from the outer socket (see
Fig. 28).
6) Remove the Pastasil from the outer socket (see Fig. 29).
7) Unscrew the dummies from the adapter ring of the lamination disc.
8) Trim and sand the final contour of the outer socket.
9) Glue the foam cone into the outer socket and adapt it to the contour of
the outer socket.

5.3 Mounting the connector

CAUTION
Improper assembly of the screw connections
Fall due to breakage or loosening of the screw connections
► Clean the threads before every installation.
► Apply the specified installation torque values.
► Observe the instructions for securing the screw connections and the
use of the correct length.
