6.4 Fastening the MyoEnergy Integral in the outer socket

Assembly of the separate battery units
1) Determine the battery positions using the alignment aid.
INFORMATION: Maintain sufficient distance between the installation aids/batteries
(see fig. 11).
2) Mark the hole positions on the socket and drill them with the drill bit.
3) Pull the double-sided adhesive tape off the installation aids and apply it to the battery (see
fig. 13).
4) Secure the installation aid and battery with the hook and loop closure strap (757B35=3) or
adhesive tape (757B35=1).
INFORMATION: Lay the hook and loop closure strap into the groove on the installa­
tion aid (see fig. 14). The overlapping ends of the hook and loop closure strap have to
be up against the battery.
5) Use the countersunk head screws to screw the batteries to the socket.
Installation of the assembled battery units
1) Fasten the batteries and installation aid with the double-sided adhesive tape (see fig. 16).
2) Wrap the installation aid and batteries with the hook and loop closure strap (757B35=3) or
adhesive tape (757B35=1).
INFORMATION: Lay the hook and loop closure strap into the groove on the installa­
tion aid.
7 Handling

7.1 Charging the battery

1) Connect the charging plug to the charging receptacle of the product.
→ The correct connection of the battery charger to the product is indicated by feedback
(Status signals).
→ The prosthesis system is switched off automatically.
→ The charging process starts.
2) Disconnect the product after the charging process is complete.

7.2 Display of the current charge level

The battery charge level can be queried at any time.
1) With the prosthetic system switched on, press the charging receptacle button (Taste
betätigen) and hold for less than one second.
2) The LED display on the charging receptacle provides information on the current battery
charge level (Status signals).

7.3 Safety shutoff

The purpose of the safety shutoff is to protect the battery; it is triggered in case of:
Excessively high or low temperature
Short circuit
Overvoltage or undervoltage
INFORMATION
After a safety shutdown, the battery charger must be connected to reactivate the electronics.
