4) Attach the pad retainer.

5.2.2 Adjusting the Strap Height

The height of straps 1 and 5 can be adjusted for knee joint relief in case of post-operative therapy
and/or to adapt the position of the straps to the anatomical shape of the leg.
1) Remove the clip rivet of the strap holder for straps 1 and 5 on both sides.
2) Reposition the strap holder.
3) Attach the strap holder to the orthosis frame with the supplied new clip rivets.

5.2.3 Applying the ACL Version

Prerequisite: The orthosis is in the delivery condition (ACL version) (see fig. 2).
>
Prerequisite: The patient is sitting on the front edge of a chair and bends the knee at 45°.
>
1) Position the orthosis with the middle of the joints approximately even with the top of the
patella.
→ Although this puts the orthosis higher than its final position, it settles into the correct posi
tion on its own.
2) Fasten strap 1 (see fig. 2).
3) Fasten strap 2.
4) Engage strap 3 on the pad button with the strap guide loop and tighten the strap.
→ The strap guide loop engages audibly.
5) Tighten strap 4.
6) Push the orthosis towards the thigh.
7) Fasten strap 5.
8) Tighten the orthosis straps so that the orthosis fits firmly but is comfortable to wear.
9) After 15 min of active movement (e.g. slight knee bends): if necessary, slightly retighten the
straps in the specified sequence (see fig. 2, straps 1-5).
Optional: Use the included strap 6 if the knee joint requires more stabilisation. Open the hook-
and-loop closure of the strap holder for strap 6 on both sides and mount the strap on the front.
5.2.4 Conversion to and application of the PCL version
Prerequisite: The orthosis is in the delivery condition (ACL version) and has to be converted
>
to the PCL version (see fig. 3).
1) Turn the strap holder for strap 2 from the rear to the front of the orthosis and align the strap
(see fig. 3).
2) Optional: Use the included strap 6 if the knee joint requires more stabilisation. In doing so,
strap 2 remains on the front of the orthosis and strap 6 is attached with hook-and-loop to the
strap holder on both sides on the back of the orthosis.
3) Put on the orthosis and fasten the numbered straps in sequence (see fig. 3, straps 1-5,
optional strap 6).
5.2.5 Conversion to and application of the CI version
Prerequisite: The orthosis is in the delivery condition (ACL version) and has to be converted
>
to the CI version (see fig. 4).
1) Attach the supplied strap 6 to the strap holder on both sides on the front of the orthosis with
hook-and-loop (see fig. 4).
2) Put on the orthosis and fasten the numbered straps 1-6 in sequence (see fig. 4).
