Use a torque wrench to tighten the front sprocket to the torque specified by the manufacturer.
The chain tension also has to be set in accordance with manufacturer specifications. In the
process, make sure that the wheel alignment remains unchanged. You can check the chain
slack is even by turning the rear wheel 360 degrees and constantly checking the slack. The
chain must not have any "tight spots" (uneven slack).
Finally use a torque wrench to tighten the wheel axle to the torque specified by the
manufacturer. Secure the rear axle nut with a new cotter pin, if applicable. Once you have
reinstalled the cover, gearshift and chain guard etc., check all the fastenings once again.
After approx. 300 km, you should check the tension of your chain again – new chains tend to
stretch initially.
