Check sealing surfaces inside the spray gun [8-2] after disassembly,
clean them, if required. Should the sealing surfaces be damaged,
please contact your SATA dealer. Align new air distribution ring with the
help of the marking [8-3], (pin must be located in the drilling) and press
in with even force. Adjust material flow according to chapter 7.2 after
installation.
9.3. Replacing the Paint Needle Sealing Steps:
1], [9-2] and [9-3]
Replacement is required when spray medium escapes from the self-ad-
justing paint needle packing. Remove trigger after [9-2]. After removal,
check paint needle for damage and replace nozzle set if necessary. The
air micrometer must be removed [10-1] – [10-4] before removing the
trigger [9-2]. After assembly, set the material flow rate as instructed in
Chapter 7.2.
9.4. Replacing the Air Piston, Air Piston Spring
and Air Micrometer Steps:
• Disconnect the spray gun from the compressed air circuit!
This must be exchanged if air is leaking from the air nozzle or the air
micrometer while the trigger is not pulled. After disassembly, grease air
micrometer shell with SATA gun lubricant (item no. 48173), use with air
piston and tighten locking screw using original SATA combination tool
with max. 1 Nm. [10-1]. After installation, set material throughput accord-
ing to chapter 7.2.
• Check if the locking screw has been firmly tightened! The air microm-
eter could shoot out from the spray gun uncontrolled!
