5. PRINCIPLES OF USE
5.1 SWITCHING THE SYSTEM AS A WHOLE ON AND OFF
The key operated switch located on the master beacon can be used to switch the system as a whole on and
off.
Each movement of the switch is accompanied by 1 long confirmation beep when switching on and 5 short
beeps when switching off, on the local siren and the remote control buzzer. The switch is only used
during servicing or maintenance operations.
Pool monitoring is only possilbe in "Normal Operation" mode. This mode must be sleected all year
round.
- ALL OFF mode: The system remains connected to the power suuply, but none of the monitoring
functions are active.
This operating mode must only be selected when the system is switched off for maintenance.
In this mode, no monitoring is provided by the system; it must be carried out by a responsible adult.
-
NORMAL mode; the system is connected to the power supply, with all its
functions activated. IT is switched to "monitoring on" or "monitoring off" mode
by using the remote control unit. When the key operated switch is set to normal
mode, the monitoring mode is activated automatically.
It is opeartion inmediately, even if a beam has been cut off( triggering of the alarm).
5.2. ACTIVATING/DEACTIVATING THE MONITORING MODE
The monitoring mode is activated or deactivated using buttons A and B of the remote control unit. The
monitoring mode is also reactivated automatically by a time delay system after a period selected during
the installation sequence. It is impossible to activate the monitoring mode if one of the beams has been
cut off. This is shown by a series of beeps during the attempts to switch the monitornig mode on.
5.3 USING THE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
The unit can only be used in the "Normal operation" mode.
The fact of selecting the "Normal operation" mode using the jey operated switch automatically sets the
system to its activated monitoring mode.
Monitoring can be activated either:
-manually, or
-automatically after a time delay
The monitoring mode is activated or deactivated manually by pressing buttons A and B at the same time.
The system status can be checked using the "Monitoring" Led located on the remote control. If the LED
is on, the monitoring mode is active, and if the LED is off, the monitroing mode is deactivated.
When the monitoring mode is activated manually or automatically, a long confirmation beep is emitted bt
the integrated siren and the remote control buzzer.
When the monitoring mode is deactivated, 5 short confirmation beeps are emitted by the integrated siren
and the remote control buzzer.
In the event of detection of an intrusion, the sirens and the control unit buzzer are stopped either:
-automatically after 1 min 30, or
-by pressing one of the two buttons
