3.2 | Safety instructions
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities (e.g.
partially disabled persons, elderly persons with
reduced physical and mental abilities) or lack of
experience and knowledge (e.g. older children)!
• The scope of delivery includes small parts and
packaging which could be swallowed. Keep
these parts out of the reach of children to
avoid the danger of swallowing and choking or
suffocation.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
• When installing the product, ensure that
the vehicle cannot topple over and that the
workplace is well lit.
• Before every journey, check the turn signals for
damaged or missing parts.
• Before every journey, check that the turn signals
are correctly and securely installed, and are
functioning properly.
• At least every 200 km, check that your turn
signals are correctly fitted and properly fastened.
18
• If you change any dimensions, or if you use
accessories or luggage on your motorcycle, the
turn signals must remain fully visible.
• The turn signal itself gets hot during operation –
skin contact must therefore be avoided.
NOTE!
Risk of short circuit!
• Before carrying out any work on the vehicle elec-
trical system, be sure to disconnect the vehicle
battery, as there is a danger of short circuit!
• Electrical and mechanical installation on the
vehicle must be carried out professionally.
Incorrect installation can cause short circuits or
invalidate the type approval.
NOTE!
Risk of damage!
• The power cables must be routed in such a way
that they cannot chafe, and they must not bend.
If necessary, an extra cable sheath or a rubber
cable feed-through can be used.
• Any resistors that are installed may heat up
during use and therefore must not be installed in
the direct vicinity of heat-sensitive components
or in closed housings. Depending on how long
they remain switched on, the turn signals may
reach temperatures of +80 °C or more. Only use
resistors which have a heat sink.
