C. THE HELMET
9. RESTRAINT SYSTEM
The restraint system of the C3 consists of a chin strap that is additionally
secured to the rear of the helmet shell with neck straps.
CHIN STRAP WITH MICRO-LOCK RATCHETING LOCK
The C3 is delivered with a ratcheting lock. With this
locking system it is possible to ensure that the chin
strap fits easily and properly adjusted to your head
each time you put the helmet on.
ADJUSTING THE CHIN STRAP
To change the length of the chin strap, increase or
reduce the amount of strap that is pulled through the
metal buckle. Adjust the length of the chin strap so that
it sits firmly but comfortably under the chin. Use the
retaining loop to fix the end of the strap to the comfort
chin strap underlay.

ratcheting lock to release the locking mechanism. Then pull the ratcheting
tongue out of the locking mechanism.

correctly adjusted and positioned. If the chin strap is not properly
adjusted or fastened, it is possible for the helmet to come away from
your head in the event of an accident.
Warning:
The chin strap must always be done up when riding. Never unfasten
