4.2.3.
Lifting
and
transport precautions
Prevent dangerous situations for
arising
when using
a
hoist
to
lift heavy loads
Make
sure
that all chains, hooks, shackles and slings are in good condition and are
of
lhe correct cepacity.
They must
be
tested and approved according
lo
local safety regulations.
Cables, chains or ropes musl never
be
applied direclly to eyebolts.
Always use a properly positioned shackle or hook.
Anange the lif,ing cables
so
that there are no sharp
bends.
Use a
spreader
bar
to avoid
slde
loads on hooks
and
eyebolts

load is being lifted,
keep
clear
of
the area beneath and around
it.
Keep lifiing acceleralion and
speed
within sate limits and never leave a load hanging on a
hoist
for longer than

necessary.

Maintenance and repair
