8 OPERATION

8.1 Preparing to work

1. Prepare the machine for operation (Read chapter "6 PREPARING THE MACHINE")
2. Connect the battery connector
3. Turn the On-Off key-operated switch a quarter of a turn clockwise to "1" position
4. Control the gear direction: forward or reverse on the specific switch on the consolle
5. Lower the levier for the squeegee (Fig. 5)
6. Regulate the water flow through the related levier
7. Lower the levier for the brush group (Fig. 3)
8. Press brush switch
9. Press vacuum switch
10. Select forward maximum speed turning knob. The selector has continuum of positions, indicated by symbols: turtle =
slow speed, rabbit = fast speed
11. Pressing accelerator pedal, the machine will start to move and the floor-wiper will drop down. Check, during the first
few meters of work, that the solution quantity is right and that the floor-wiper dries the floor perfectly
12. Adjust the brush pressure: screwing (clock-wise) the brush pressure control hadwheel (Fig. 8-2) the pressure
increases, while un-screwing (anti-clock wise) the pressure lows.
13. Now the machine will start to work in perfect efficiency until the detergent solution is finished.
Before using the machine check all the controls to employ it properly. Start, turn and stop slowly.
Slow down before bends, slippery and irregular surfaces. Avoid climbing objects and holes. Be
careful in steering on slopes.
Whenever problems arise during operation turn the On-Off key to "0" position, quickly detach the battery
connector placed below the operator and leave pedal accelerator. These procedures will block all machine
movements. To start working again, after you have solved the problem, reconnect connector, turn On-Off key to
"1" and release parking brake pedal.
The machine will not move forward it the operator is not firmly seated in the driver's seat.
W hen the battery charge level is getting too low, the brush and vacuum motor automatically turns off.
Batteries must be recharged as soon as possible. A residual charge remains in the machine in order to be
able to move the machine to the charging station.

8.2 Overflow device

The machine has an overflow switch
is full. In this case you must empty the tank. To start working again turn the main key-operated switch off
and on again
8.3 Traction
This machine has an electronically controlled traction system.
To move the machine first turn the On-Off key to "1" and press the accelarato pedal. The gear revereser is on the

In order to avoid the wear and tear of the squeegee rubbers, reverse only with the squeege lifted up
8.4 Brakes
The machine has either an electronic braking system, either a mechanical braking system. To brake, in normal
conditions, just remove your foot from the accelerator pedal. If the service brake does not operate properly or in case
of need (parking, danger, etc.) actuate the pedal-operated mechanical brake by pushing it.
