GRANDE BRIO RIDE ON 75
OPERATING MANUAL
6 OPERATION
6.1 Preparing to work
1. Prepare the machine for operation (Read chapter "6 PREPARING THE MACHINE");
2. Seat in the driver's seat;
3. Connect the battery connector to machine connector;
4. Turn the key switch on a quarter of a turn clockwise (Position ON)
5. Control the gear direction: forward or reverse on the specific switch on the consolle
6. Lower the squeegeelifting lever (Fig. 6)
7. Regulate the water flow through the related levier (Nr. 16 of MACHINE COMPONENTS table)
8. Lower the levier for the brush group (Nr. 14 of MACHINE COMPONENTS table)
9. Press brush switch
10. Press vacuum switch
11. Select forward maximum speed turning knob. The selector has continuum of positions, indicated by symbols: turtle = slow speed,
rabbit = fast speed
12. Push safety swith on the footboard with your left foot;
13. Now the machine will start to work in perfect efficiency until the detergent solution is finished;
14. In Grande Brio Ride On 75 – 650 Ecoray version (Fig. 15) check the following steps:
a.
UV lamp is locked into its housing (clips that hold it in place);
b.
Place the UV lamp holder in order to hit the floor with the light.
WARNING
- Before starting the machine, check all the controls and safety devices to use it in the most
appropriate way. Avoid climbing over objects, holes along the course.
Do not put your hands, feet or any other object near the moving brush.
When the battery charge level is about to run out, the minimum calibration voltage appears on the display and the
first segment of the LED bar flashes and the brush and vacuum motors switch off automatically; it is therefore
necessary to recharge the machine as soon as possible.
If there are any problems while working, turn off the key, disconnect the battery connector promptly. These
commands will block every moving part of the machine. To resume operations, once the problem is resolved,
reconnect the connector and turn on the key.
When making reverse movements, even if short, lift the squeegee.
Do not move the machine too fast.
6.2 Ecoray function (only available on Ecoray versions)
The Ecoray version is equipped with a UV-C emission lamp with a wavelength of 260nm to sanitize the floor, without further
consumption of detergents. The Ecoray function is activated automatically as soon as the brush ignition button is pressed and
remains active as long as this button is pressed.
UV-C exposure inactivates microbial organisms such as bacteria and viruses by altering the structure and the molecular bonds of
their DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid). DNA is a "blue print" these organisms use to develop, function and reproduce. By destroying
the organism's ability to reproduce, it becomes harmless since it cannot colonize. After UV-C exposure, the organism dies off
leaving no offspring, and the population of the microorganism diminishes rapidly.
Ultraviolet germicidal lamps provide a much more powerful and concentrated effect of ultraviolet energy than can be found
naturally. Germicidal UV provides a highly effective method of destroying microorganisms, eliminating the need to use harmful
chemicals on surfaces.
ATTENTION - DO NOT look or touch the UV-C lamp for any reason when is on. Germicidal ultraviolet rays with high
reflective power are dangerous for the eyes and skin of both humans and animals.
DO NOT touch the UV-C lamp even after use, as it may still be hot and burn the skin.
NEVER put your hands under the appliance while it is still in operation.
During use DO NOT look directly at the UV-C lamp.
If for any reason you turn your gaze to the light or touch the light bulb and feel discomfort, contact your family doctor or
go to the hospital immediately for a consultation.
DO NOT cover or obstruct the UV-C lamp for any reason.
DO NOT use the machine in ways other than those described in this manual.
If for any reason the UV-C lamp breaks, try to replace it.
The effectiveness of the UV-C lamp is estimated until the irradiation decreases by 20%, or after about 12-15 months of
continuous use.
