Operating
>
The following must be done at the start of every
shift:
>
Fill the reservoir with recommended oil.
>
Check that the oil dosage functions, by holding
a piece of clean paper in front of the exhaust
air outlet. After about five seconds traces of oil
should appear on the paper. Adjust the oil
dosage if necessary; see section "Oiler
adjustment".
>
Allowing liquid to freeze inside the pump can
cause damage to the pump.
>
Do not run the pump dry for longer periods,
doing so will cause damage to the seals.
>
If the pump has been used in corrosive or polluted
water, it must be operated in clean water for a
few minutes after use.

Since each application differs, the frequency and
extent of maintenance is best established based upon
past performance. Keeping detailed maintenance
records of past performance, aids determining future
preventative maintenance intervals.
