Commissioning

4.1 Preliminary checks

Before starting the dryer, make sure:
• installation was carried out according that given in the section 9.2;
• the air inlet valves are closed and that there is no air fl ow through
the dryer;
• the power supply is correct.
4.2 Starting
Before starting the dryer follow the following instruction:
• Switch the power on by turning the MAIN SWITCH (IG)
ON".
• the crankcase heater will now start heating

THE CRANKCASE HEATER MUST BE SWITCHED ON 12
HOURS BEFORE STARTING THE DRYER.
Failure to comply with this rule may cause serious damage to the com-
pressor.
• Shows the "MAIN SCREEN VIEW on display.
Start the air compressor.
Start-up procedure dryer:

to enter on "Main Menu"
Select START/STOP
and confi rm with Enter
Select:
NORMAL START/STOP
and confi rm with Enter
Confi rm START, for the start-up
"Compressed Inlet Air" pressure
INSUFFICIENT AIR PRESSURE

Attention: The air compressor must be started before the
dryer. Otherwise you may damage the electric resistance.
The fi rst start-up is in "Forced Regeneration" on default.
The unit works for a complete cycle (2 columns), after switches to normal
working.

It is recommended to complete this type of starting with the air
outlet valve closed, to preserve the correct operation of the desiccant
bed.
4.3 Operation
Leave the dryer in working during the period of working of the air com-

• The dryer works automatically, calibrations are not required on the
fi eld;
• if there are excessive and unexpected air fl ows, by-pass to avoid
overloading the dryer.
4.4 Operation with Dew point control
In the case of work loads below the nominal or if you want different dew
point of -40 ° C, it is possible to work in Dew Point Control. The system
automatically controls the time of the cycles of operation to obtain and
maintain the predetermined dew point, with the result of energy saving in
case of work with partial loads.

maintenance instructions given in para. 6.4.
