INTENDED USE
The Iris Adapter (Adapter) is intended to be used as a communication means between 3rd party medical devices and Masimo
Gateway via Iris connectivity ports.
DESCRIPTION
The Iris Adapter is a Masimo proprietary adapter, wired or wireless, which establishes a data communication between
3rd party medical devices (POCs) with Masimo Gateway, via Iris connectivity ports.
The Iris Adapter allows a variety of standalone devices (such as: IV pumps, ventilators, beds, and other patient monitors)
to connect to Root®, where the "3rd party" device data can be passed through Root to Masimo systems, such as Patient
SafetyNet™ or Iris Gateway™ and send the data to other systems.
For operation, the Iris Adapter requires Root and the Iris Gateway or Patient SafetyNet Supplemental Alarm System Series
5.0.0.0 (or higher) and compatible 3rd party device.
