Belt Replacement
Auger Belt
To remove and replace your snow thrower's auger belt, proceed
as follows:
I. Allow the engine to run until it is out of fuel.
2. Remove the plastic belt cover on the front of the engine by
removing the two self-tapping screws. See Fig. 8-I.

Roll the auger belt off the engine pulley. See Fig. 8-2.
3. Carefully pivotthe snowthrower upand forward sothatit rests
on the auger housing.
4. Remove the frame cover from the underside of the snow
thrower by removing four self-tapping screws which secure
it. See Fig 8-3.

Remove the belt as follows. See Fig. 8-4.
a. Loosen and remove the shoulder screwwhich actsas a
belt keeper.
Unhook the support bracket spring from the frame.
