Drive Be_t
1, a,Grasp t he idler p ulley and pivot ittoward the right, See Figure
23,Insert ascrew driver through aligning holes i nboth the idler
bracket and the engine, This will r elease tension ondrive b elt,
b,Roll the auger belt o ffthe engine pulley,
c,Lift t he drive b elt o ff e ngine pulley, See Figure 23,
2, Slip the drive b elt o ffthe pulley and between friction wheel and
friction wheel disc, See Figure 24,
3, Replace with new belt, first s liding i tthrough the crank shaft, then
working itaround the groove ofthe drive p ulley and finally wrapping
itaround the engine pulley from where the oldbelt w as removed,
Once t he belt i sfirmly p laced onthe pulleys, make s ure toremove
the screwdriver from the idler,
4, Re-install auger belt o nthe engine pulley,
5, Re-attach frame c over onthe snow thrower housing and put t he
equipment back t ooperating position, Re-attach belt c over with two
self4apping screws removed earlier,
Friction Whee_ Rubber
NOTE:Severalcomponents must be removedand specialtools are
requiredin orderto replacethis snow thrower'sfrictionwheelrubber,
