The blinelstitch ladder seam is particularly
appropriate for knit anel stratch fabrics. It is
ideei for stretchable construction seams. anel
edge finishes for necklines, pockets and eollars
in sporswear and
swimsuit~.

1. Make a test sample to adjust stitch length
and needle-threed tensian to suit the fabrlc,
(Needle-thread tension should be lighter
than normal).
2. Cut and fit garrnent, allowing for 15
millimeter (5/S") seem allowance. Baste
seem line.
3. Place fabric under presser foot

straight stitches fali on the seam line b/!sting
and the points toward the center of the
garrnent.
4. After stitching,
open
seem by pulling fabric
back on opposite sides of the seem to
produce ladder effect. Press seam a I Iowa nce
after opaning.
