The 3Com USB Network Interface operates with Windows 98
only.
LEDs
The LINK and ACTIVITY LEDs located near the RJ-45 connector show
the operating state of the USB Network Interface and give immediate
indication of problems. Normal operating conditions are described
below. Abnormal operating conditions are described in "Using the
LEDs to Diagnose Problems" on page 8.
LED: Operating state
LINK ACTIVITY
(Green) (Amber)
ON ON Power on — Both LEDs light initially for
3 seconds after power is applied to the USB
Network Interface.
Both flashing The LEDs flash until the USB Network
alternately Interface has finished self-configuration.
ON OFF Network connection with no information
being transmitted or received.
ON ON Network connection with information being
transmitted or received.
OFF OFF No network connection.
