Do I have to pay an installer to install the Kube in my home?
No! You can install the Kube in a matter of minutes using our simple DIY connections and easy
instructions. Should you prefer, we have an on-line video that walks you through the process.
What type of connections does the Kube have?
The Kube uses push fit connectors (no tools required) that adapt to standard compression fittings
commonly found in most homes. We also supply Kube with drinking water grade plastic tubing that
is included in your installation kit.
Where do I plug in the Kube?
The Kube requires no batteries or electricity. The system is 100% hydro-powered. Save the outlet for
your garbage disposal!
How long will the Kube filters last?
The filters in the Kube are rated to last 1,665 gallons (6,302 liters), about 6 months for an average
family of four.
Why does the Kube require two filters?
Water flows through both cartridges at the same time ensuring the necessary contact time required
for its contaminant certifications and to ensure maximum flow rate through your faucet.
How do I know when to replace the Kube filters?
A filter life gauge on the top front face of the Kube monitors your system and indicates when to
replace the filters. The Kube is metered to accurately measure contaminant removal and filter life
based on use, not time. No marking your calendar, changing indicator batteries, and no guessing!
Why is there a removable tray built into the bottom of the Kube?
The Kube tray is similar to trays you find on refrigerator water dispensers. It is designed to catch
any residual water as a result of changing the cartridges or putting the Kube in by-pass mode. You
can empty the tray when you're finished changing your filters or after you put your Kube in by-pass
mode, by simply sliding it straight out.
What prevents the cartridges from coming loose?
The Kube cartridges have a twist and lock feature, secured a second time by the by-pass control
knob. This ensures that it is safe and child-proof.
Will I waste filtered Kube water when I'm washing dishes?
Since you generally use hot water for washing/rinsing dishes and the Kube connects to your cold
water line, you'll use little, if any, Kube filtered water.
Can I get hot filtered water for tea/coffee from the Kube?
The Kube filters only your cold water, but that water can then be used to make all your favorite
beverages.
