Widespread Lavatory Fittings

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

These installation instructions apply to products with the following fitting base
numbers: 785, 786.
NOTE: These instructions do not apply to fittings with swivel assemblies on 8" or 12" centers.
1. Disassemble cartridges from both side bodies.
2. Assemble below deck mounting hardware (see drawing page 4, parts 2-3) to both sides
of side bodies.
3. With wire hanger (see drawing, part number 12) in place, push fitting up through deck holes
until wire hanger clips over the top of the deck.
4. Remove wire hanger and assemble rubber seal, brass washer, and C-clip (see drawing, parts
13-15) over spout base.
5. Adjust below deck locknuts until the side bodies protrude 9/16" above deck or use VALVE
BODY HEIGHT GAGE to measure the correct height.
6. Assemble above deck mounting hardware (see drawing, parts 4-6) to both
side bodies. Assemble supplies.
7. For installation and adjustment of cartridges refer to pages 20-32 of the Installation
Instructions For Widespread – Concealed Faucets.
8. Assemble the side body escutcheons and tighten the escutcheon nuts (see drawing, parts 9-10).
If desired, apply a bead of plumber's putty around the locknut before assembling the
escutcheons.
9. Assemble spout base escutcheon (see drawing, part 16).
10. For installation of the spout refer to pages 33-34 of the Installation Instructions For
Widespread – Concealed Faucets.
11. Assemble the handles and align so they do not hit the spout escutcheon in the open position.
12. After completion of installation, remove aerator and flush lines and faucet for
approximately one minute.
