USE
The wheel hubs described in this manual and the tools for the
assembly and disassembly of the CV joint are intended for the
following operations, to be performed on the axles of commercial
vehicles and vans:
1. Mechanical removal of the CV joint (also in combination with
the 16-TON mechadraulic cylinder e.g.: Würth 1952 004
070)
2. Insertion of the CV joint
3. Disconnection of the CV joint with 1- to 3-kg slide hammer (slide
hammer not supplied! - Optional 1.4-kg slide hammer Würth
1952 003 905/ +907)
4. Removal of the wheel hubs/floating axles and brake drums
with a 5- to 9-kg slide hammer (slide hammer not supplied! -
Optional 9-kg slide hammer Würth 1952 004 050)
5. Assembly of the wheel hubs.
The following conditions often make it difficult to remove
components:
1. Glued CV joints
2. Rusty CV joints, etc.
