6.1 Prohibited

Read the warnings listed in this chapter carefully. They give
important indications concerning safety.
It is forbidden to install accessories that do not conform with safety
standards.
Have the appliance inspected regularly by a qualified technician to
guarantee your safety.

6.2 Safety devices against mechanical risks

The working area of the spiral, placed inside the bowl, is protected by a
plexiglass guard provided with slit, whose dimensions comply with the
safety directive; this slit allow the add of the ingredients in safety
conditions. The guard, being a permanent safety device, keeps the
development of dust under tolerable limits. Furthermore, it has its fulcrum
on the machine head and is provided with a safety electric interblocking
device, which stops the machine, whenever the guard is lifted while the
machine is working.
To start the work again, push the starting button. A second interblocking
device for the models GALASSIA SUPER and GALASSIA SPECIAL is
placed in the back part of the head, so to avoid that the same is reversed
while the spiral is still working. The danger of being dragged between the
bowl and the frame is prevented by keeping a distance of more than 30
mm between them according to the safety directive. All the transmission
elements are set inside the machine and they can be reached only by
unscrewing the safety guard using a key or a screwdriver.

6.3 Safety devices against electric risk

All the electric components work with the nominal tension; the motors
are closed in a box with a protection degree IP 54. The control devices
work with a slow-tension and are placed into cases with a protection
degree IP 54.
The machine is set for the earthing against possible risks deriving from
direct contact. The power and control electrical circuit is equipped with
protection devices against short circuits and overloads.
