Setting instructions

Winding, time setting and correction:
The crown (I) can be placed in three positions A, B and C.
A: Pushed down against the case, winding position.
This is the normal position when the watch is being worn and
guarantees the best water-resistance.
If the watch has not been worn for some time, wind it by rotating
the crown (I) through several turns. It is not necessary to fully wind
a watch that is going to be worn.
The crown (I) will not be locked at the end of the winding cycle; the
mechanism therefore cannot be damaged.
B: Position for correcting the date and adjusting the moon phase.
Setting the moon phase:
Pull the crown (I) out to position B then turn anticlockwise to correct
the moon phase (3).
To position the moon correctly, look for the date of the previous
new moon on a calendar and the number of days that have elapsed
since. Now position the moon indicator in such a way that the two
discs representing the moon are hidden. Then effect as many jumps
of the moon phase indicator (3) as days have elapsed since the
previous new moon.
Setting the date:
Pull the crown (I) out to position B; then turn clockwise to correct
the date (4).
10
C: Time-setting position.
When pulled out to this position, rotation of the crown (I) enables
the time to be set. Then push the crown (I) back to position A to
restart the watch.
It is generally preferable to set the time by advancing the hour and
minute hands (1 and 2) in the clockwise direction. The hands can
however be moved backwards provided you end the adjustment by
advancing them.

Water-resistance

The water-resistance of the watch is tested for a pressure of 3 bar.
