Setting instructions
Changing the frequency mode (7):
Simply press the pusher (IV) and the hand (7) changes position to
indicate the chosen mode: Active (5 Hz) or Standby (1.2 Hz).
Winding and time setting (hands 1 and 2):
The winding and time-setting crown (I) can be placed in two
positions: A and B.
A: Pushed down against the case, winding position.
This is the normal position when the watch is being worn and
guarantees the best water-resistance.
When the power-reserve hand (6) is close to the minimum (zero),
wind the watch by rotating the crown (I) clockwise. The power-reserve
hand (6) lets you monitor how much the watch has been wound.
Do not force the winding mechanism when you feel resistance
increasing.
NOTE: When the power-reserve hand points to less than zero,
the watch may continue to operate. As this will last a short and
indeterminate period of time, we recommended winding the watch
anyway.
B: Time-setting position.
1. Select the Active mode (5Hz) by pressing on the push-button (IV);
2. Pull the crown (I) into position B;
3. Turn the crown (I) until the desired time (1 and 2) is displayed,
then turn it anti-clockwise to finish the operation;
4. Then push the winding and time-setting crown (I) back to position A.
16
IMPORTANT: When setting the time in an anticlockwise direction,
do not pass midnight as this risks damaging the mechanism. If you
encounter resistance, do not force it.
NOTE: Once the time is set, the minute hand (2) may jump forwards
30 seconds.
Setting the instant perpetual calendar (date (3) and month (4)
hands and leap-year disc (5)) using the winding and time-
setting crown (I):
If less than 3 days from the desired date (3), the instant perpetual
calendar (date (3) and month (4) hands and leap-year disc (5)) can
be set using the winding and time-setting crown (I).
1. Pull the winding and time-setting crown (I) out to position B;
2. Turn the winding and time-setting crown (I) until the desired date
(3) is displayed;
3. Then push the winding and time-setting crown (I) back to
position A.
When the watch is in Standby mode, it has a minimum power
reserve of 65 days, during which the indications of the perpetual
calendar (date (3) and month (4) hands and leap-year disc (5)) are
up-to-date and do not need to be adjusted.
Setting the instant perpetual calendar (date (3) and month (4)
hands and leap-year disc (5)) using the correctors (II and III):
If more than 3 days from the desired date (3), the instant perpetual
calendar (date (3) and month (4) hands and leap-year disc (5)) can
be set via the correctors (II and III) using the corrector pen (V).
