Disassembly of BeoVision 1
Disconnect all cables

Handling the TV
Remove TV from stand, if this is necessary for service
Remove back cover
- Disconnect the mains voltage (A), (see
- Remove all other cables.
- Allen Key
- Screwdriver TORX 20
- Screwdriver TORX 10
- Screwdriver TORX 8
- Ordinary screwdriver
- Flat-nose pliers
- Pair of tweezers
- IC-pliers AMP 821980-1 (included in the back-up suitcase)
- White gloves (included in the back-up suitcase)
- Multimeter (Ri > 1 Mohm)
- Use the white gloves from the back-up suitcase, when handling sensitive parts of
the TV such as back cover, contrast screen and cloth front. They should also be
used when moving and handling the television set.
- Do not under any circumstances, place the BeoVision 1 lying on the contrast screen.
Instead, place it, as illustrated below.
- If the TV is placed on a wall stand, loosen the Allen Screw (B) (see
locks the TV on its stand. Lift the TV up, and place it 180° opposite on its stand.
The back cover can now be removed. If the TV is placed on a high floor stand,
remove it and place it on a service stand.
- Loosen the four screws from the back cover. 2 at the top, and 2 at the bottom.
Remove the back cover by pulling out at the bottom, to an angle of about 45°
(see
2). Then push it upwards a couple of centimeters while holding in the
handle at the top. Now the back cover is free to remove.
- When replacing either main chassis or modules, the back cover should not be
mounted until adjustment/check is carried out. See #16 Adjustments after
replacement of main chassis and/or #17 Check after replacement of main chassis
or modules.
