Disconnect the ESD mat from the main chassis
Finish the on-site service
- Remove the entire electric chassis by pulling the chassis upwards (see
Place the chassis on the ESD mat.
- Move the alligator clip from the old chassis and connect it to the aerial input on
the new chassis.
- The new chassis can now be placed in the TV. Place the chassis in the holders
like the old one.
- The plugs which were disconnected must be reconnected in the same way. Be
certain to put the cables in the same holders as before.
- Place main chassis in correct position and fasten the screws.
- After replacement of the main chassis, the EEPROM 6IC6, and the software 6IC3,
from the old chassis must be placed in the new chassis (see
cover of PCB6, then remove 6IC3 and 6IC6 by means of the IC-pliers. To remove
6IC6, place one "leg" of the IC-pliers, in the lower righthand corner of the
IC socket. Then push the other "leg" gently into the upper lefthand corner of
the IC socket. When transferring them to the new chassis, remember to point
them in the right direction.
Please note: There is a small label placed on PCB1 (see
These values are required to adjust the TV.
