6.2

Oil change

Empty the oil as long as the engine is still warm in order to guar-
antee a quick and complete drainage.
1. Remove the maintenance flap (fig. 2, no. 9) and the oil filler
screw (Fig. 18, no. 22)(see section 5.1). Screw the oil adapter
into the oil filler opening and tilt the generator to one side in or-
der to drain the oil out of the engine. Use a suitable container
to collect the oil.
2. Fill the engine oil with the recommended quality
and check the oil level.
Oil fill capacity: 0.45 l
Caution: Prolonged or repeated skin contact with used oil can
cause skin cancer. Although the risk is very low unless you
come in contact with used oil on a daily basis, you should wash
your hands with soap and water as soon as possible
after coming in contact with waste oil.
Note:Dispose of the waste oil in an environmentally responsible way. We recom-
mend handing over the waste oil in a closed container to a local disposal company
for recycling.You can find this under, e.g. http://www.wer-entsorgt-
was.de/entsorger_suche.html Do not dispose of the waste oil in the trash or by pour-
ing it out.
