reception
Perform visual inspection immediately after reception of the circuit
breaker and even before removing it from the pallet. If there is any
evidence of damage or imperfections caused by transport, directly
inform the carrier and WEG.
transport
Maintain the circuit breaker fastened to the pallet and transport the
assembly with a cart or fork lift.
Observe the following additional recommendations:
Always maintain the pallet in a horizontal position;
Make sure that the load is balanced on the forks of the forklift;
Bind the pallet to the forks so that it does not move or fall over during
transport;
Transport the assembly at low speed, without abrupt movement, avoiding
collisions with other structures, equipment or persons;
Lift the assembly only to the extent necessary to cross over obstacles
on the floor, and never above persons.
Handling / Movement
Removable hooks are provided with each circuit breaker so that it may
be removed from the pallet or removal cart suspended by a winch. This
is the only method recommended for movement of the circuit breaker.
Be careful not to damage the equipment if other methods are used.
Greater details may be conferred on page 20.
Other important recommendations:
Do not pass ropes or cables through the suspension grommets. Always
use locking safety hooks;
Suspension cables must not be less than 45º from horizontal.
Storage
If there is the need to store the circuit breaker before its installation, keep
it in its original packaging, in a clean, dry, ventilated and warm place to
avoid condensation. As with any other electrical equipment, protect it
from dust and humidity. Do not store the circuit breaker in an uncovered
place or exposed to adverse weather conditions.
AttentIon!
Make sure to tighten the bolts of the terminals in accordance with the torques
recommended in this manual. Checking the bolts and tightening them
must be performed periodically, always with all the circuits de-energized
and grounded.
