1.2 Responsibility.
If you have any questions about any of the measures described in
this manual, go to your BMW dealer. The only person responsible for
not complying with the instructions described here is the owner of
the bike. We recommend that you allow your commercial distributor
to carry out the maintenance procedures.
1.3 Safety.
Warning: If you wish to use the bike on public roads, it must have
the lighting and acoustic signals required in that country.
Warning: With the aim of preserving the physical integrity of the
cyclist, BMW recommends the use of a safety helmet authorized
for each road, which is required for use thereof.
Warning
and pull children trolleys. For yours and other passenger's safety,
do not use these devices.
Warning: Do not attach a any type of luggage carrier or baby
seat to a carbon seat post.

The bike label contains the following information:
Inscription: Maximum load

To check that the bike is being used according to its intended
purpose, closely read the corresponding paragraph in that EN norm:
DIN EN 15194:
Bikes - Cycles with electrical assistance - EPAC bikes.
This European norm is designed for electrically powered cycles with
safety requirements and the test methods to qualify the construction
and the mounting of the electric-powered cycle and the mounting
parts of the system operate with a 36 Volt battery or that is supplied
with a charger equipped with a charge capacity of 230 volts. This
European norm establishes the requirements and the test methods
for the performance management systems and the electric circuits
(including the charge system for qualifying the construction and
the mounting of cycles with electrical assistance) in addition to the
mounting parts of the systems that work with a current of 36 volts or
that are supplied with a charger equipped with a charge capacity of
230 volts.
Warning: The use of the bike for an intention different than those
for which it was designed may cause severe accidents, including
death. In the case of child bikes, be sure that the children know
well how to drive the bike, especially the brake system.
Warning
brake acts on the rear wheel and the right brake acts on the
interaction between the brakes and the wheels.
Attention: Like all mechanical parts, your bike parts are
subject to wear down. The various parts and materials may
react to wear and fatigue in different ways. When the useful life
of a part is exceeded, it may suddenly break and cause injuries
to the rider. Cracks, scratches and worn colors on the most
used areas indicate that the part has already exceeded its
useful life and needs to be changed.
