The STOP contact can be associated with the de-excitation contact.
IMPORTANT NOTE: STOP has an operating function; as a consequence, it
cannot be regarded as a replacement of any safety and/or emergency contacts.
Active operating setpoint increase contact (normally open, push-button logic):
•
AVR mode: it increases the generator voltage setpoint.
•
PF mode: if the power factor setpoint is inductive, it decreases the power
factor; if the setpoint is capacitive, it increases it.
•
VAR mode: it increases the reactive power setpoint.
•
FCR mode: it increases the exciter field current setpoint.
If the Droop compensation function is active (PAR digital contact closed), the
setpoint cannot be changed, unless the function Enable voltage setpoint
adjustment is enabled in the Droop compensation tab in D-Vo Dashboard
(Paragraph 7.3.4).
The extent of the setpoint increase depends on the setpoint range and on the
traverse rate.
Active operating setpoint decrease contact (normally open, push-button logic):
•
AVR mode: it decreases the generator voltage setpoint.
•
PF mode: if the power factor setpoint is inductive, it increases the power
factor; if the setpoint is capacitive, it decreases it.
•
VAR mode: it decreases the reactive power setpoint.
•
FCR mode: it decreases the excitation current setpoint.
If the Droop compensation function is active (PAR digital contact closed), the
setpoint cannot be changed, unless the function Enable voltage setpoint
adjustment is enabled in the Droop compensation tab in D-Vo Dashboard
(Paragraph 7.3.4).
The extent of the setpoint decrease depends on the setpoint range and on the
traverse rate.
Droop - generator parallel mode state contact (normally open, switch logic):
when closed, it activates the Droop mode for operations in parallel with one or
more generators.
PF/ VAR mode state contact (normally open, switch logic):
when closed, it activates the PF power factor regulation mode or the VAR reactive
power regulation mode (depending on the mode previously selected through D-
Vo Dashboard, Paragraph 7.3.4), for operations in parallel with the grid.
Grid Voltage Matching enabling state contact (normally open, switch logic):
when closed, it enables the grid voltage matching by D-Vo; if the grid voltage value
sensed by D-Vo is within the range of values set in D-Vo Dashboard (values
referring to the rated voltage of the generator), the generator voltage setpoint is
automatically changed from the preset value to the grid value within a time frame
that can be also set through D-Vo Dashboard.
FCR mode state contact (normally open, switch logic):
when closed, in enables the excitation current regulation mode FCR.
The FCR can also be automatically activated by the D-Vo in case of Loss of
Sensing (LOS), irrespective of the state of the FCR contact (Paragraph 5.5).
Alarm reset contact (normally open, push-button logic):
should any protection or limiting devices trip, or should any abnormal operating
conditions occur, D-Vo signals the events in question through an alarm, displayed
in D-Vo Dashboard and through the flashing of the physical red LED located in the
front section of the board (Paragraph 4.7): the alarm can be associated with one
of the three digital outputs. Once the alarm cause has been removed, the RESET
contact must be temporarily closed for the alarm warning to be cancelled (and for
any associated digital outputs to be released). If the alarm causes persist, the
alarm state shall again be displayed when the RESET button is released.
