GUARDS AND SAFETY DEVICES:
As illustrated in Fig. 3 it is possible to see the guards and safety devices that must be intact and installed properly. The machine must not be
used with damaged or missing guards or with safety devices that are not intact and in good working order; the description of the guards and
safety devices are therefore listed below:
SIDE BROOM:
The side broom, Detail 1 Fig. 4, acts as a conveyor for the dust and debris and is used exclusively for cleaning edges, corners, profiles, and
must be disabled (raised) once they have been cleaned to avoid lifting unnecessary dust and because the side broom cleans less thoroughly
than the central broom. The left hand side broom is also available as an optional extra.
IMPORTANT: Do not touch the side broom with your hands while it is rotating and do not collect stringy materials (wires, cords, etc.)
CENTRAL BROOM:
The central broom Detail 2 Fig. 4 is the main part of the machine, which allows dust and debris to be loaded into the hopper; it is possible to
request different bristle stiffness and types, depending on the type of material to be collected or the type of floor; the height can be
adjusted as the bristle length wears down ( see Chapter 12).
IMPORTANT: Do not collect cords, wires, packaging straps, sticks, etc. that are longer than 25 cm as they may get twisted around the
central and side brooms and damage them.
DUST GASKETS:
See Detail 3 Fig. 4. The gaskets surround the central broom and are essential for the machine to work properly, as they allow the dust to be
extracted; it is therefore important to them check often.
FILTERING SYSTEM:
During operation, the filtering system works so that the machine does not lift dust in the surrounding environment and works with a bag
filter Detail 1 Fig. 5; the filtering system can be engaged by pressing the relevant button Detail 10, visible in Fig. 8. The filtering system is
particularly suitable for working in closed places.
IMPORTANT: Disengage the filtering system when the machine is used on very wet or damp surfaces, to prevent dampening and
therefore deteriorating the filter.
DEBRIS HOPPER:
The container or hopper must contain all the material collected by the central broom and the dust from the filters.
