The Ref. 282000 or Ref. 282200 interface allows the interfacing of the shaver,
FMS DUO + pump, or FMS SOLO
® ®
control interface, the activation of the pump functions are achieved with a 2 - way
foot pedal Ref. 284172. The activation of the shaver is achieved using the shaver
manufacturer's hand control (button on shaver) or shaver foot pedal.
NOTE: Ensure you use the correct interface cable when connecting to another
shaver.
WARNINGS:
• The system may be affected by electromagnetic interference from other
instruments. Verify that all other instruments and appliances (associated or not
with the system) comply with the standard EN 60601-1-2 (EMC).
• If the system continues to be affected, isolate it from the offending instrument and
connect to a different main output.
• Electrical safety testing should be performed by a biomedical engineer or other
qualified person at least once per year.
• Risk of electrical shock: Do not remove the cover.
• Do not connect the device to a power source that is not properly earthed
(grounded).
• Disconnect the device from the main power source when cleaning, servicing, or
inspecting.
• Inspect equipment and cables for wear before each use. If damage is noted,
contact DePuy Mitek representative to replace worn cables.
• Avoid fluid contact with the interface, and its electrical connectors.
• Do not use flammable agents when cleaning the interface.
• To avoid risk of fire, replace fuses with same type and rating.

Troubleshooting:

Problems Possible solutions
The shaver works and the - Verify the connections
pump does not run
- Verify the main connections
- Verify the two fuses
- Replace the two fuses by fuses of the same type: 0.1 Time delay,
- If the pump does not run, please contact an authorized repair center.
The shaver does not run - Disconnect
- If the shaver does not work, contact the console manufacturer.
- If the shaver works reconnect all connections, disconnect
- If the handpiece does not work, return the interface to DePuy Mitek by calling 800-382-4682, option 3.

Cleaning the Interface:
At the end of the operating day, switch the equipment off and unplug the Interface.
Wipe off the Interface with a soft cloth that has been slightly moistened with a
neutral pH detergent. Wipe again using distilled water to rinse. DO NOT SOAK.
