• Grind foot to length, with help from the grinding sticker placed on the
top of the foot plate (Figure 2).
NOTE: When using a foot cover the size of the foot needs to be 2 cm
shorter when grinding the toe to length. This requirement has to be taken
into account when grinding the sole plate.
CAUTION: Wear dust mask and gloves when grinding and gluing the
device.
LAMINATION
The foot may be connected with either lamination connector or direct
lamination.
LAMINATION CONNECTOR (Figure 3)
• Lamination connector is laminated directly into the posterior socket
wall.
• Placement of the lamination connector is recommended in the
middle 1/3 of the socket for easier height adjustment.
• Make sure the socket surface is flat over the lamination connector to
ensure good load distribution on the foot module when connected.
Bolts go through blade into lamination connector in socket. Apply
Loctite 410 to all threads and torque to following specifications:

DIRECT LAMINATION
Before you start you need a well fitting conventional prosthesis. Either an
existing socket or alternatively a prosthesis with a check socket on
conventional prosthesis can be used.
1. Laminate the socket (Figure 4)
a. Laminate the socket using carbon braid. Add extra layers of carbon
in the upper posterior surface where the foot will be attached.
b. Roughen the upper posterior surface to improve the adhesion to the
socket when the foot module is attached (shown by grey area).
2. Trace around the original walking prosthesis (Figure 5)
a. Ensure that the prosthetic foot is resting firmly on the shoes insole
and fasten the laces tightly.
b. Lay the original walking prosthesis over the grid on the A1 alignment
sheet (included)
c. Mark the lowest points of the anterior and posterior brims as a
reference.
d. With the shoe on, trace a line around the entire prosthesis. Then
remove the shoe and trace the outline of the foot cover, ensuring
the prosthesis remains aligned with the original tracing.
