So that we can check the conditions under which we are working, we
ask you to provide us with proof of purchase. If we are not provided
with evidence of the date of purchase, the costs will be put on your
account. Retrospective credit or payments cannot take place.
We are issuing this Hogastra-Warranty in addition to your legal rights
against the seller, as stipulated in the contract of purchase.
The Hogastra Warranty is valid exclusively in the Federal Republic of
Germany and the Republic of Austria. To the purchaser who is using
this appliance for the first time, we give a guarantee for 24 months
after the point of purchase, the scope of which is specified in these
conditions. This is assuming however, that the appliance purchased
in Germany or Austria is delivered to our central services department
and that these conditions of guarantee are provided, together with
proof of purchase. In all other cases, the legal period of warranty for
commercial use applies. If the appliance bought in Germany has been
taken abroad, these conditions of warranty also apply, provided that
an authorised customer services department exists in the country in
question and that the appliance fills the technical stipulations (e.g.
voltage etc.) that apply in that country.
Within the guarantee stipulations, we will repair all deficiencies re-
garding errors in the material or manufacture. Damages or deficien-
cies caused by inappropriate use are excluded from the guarantee,
as well as those caused by inappropriate handling, wear, inattention
to the instruction manual, as well as damages caused by poor water
quality. Water with low hardness levels is frequently aggressive. Soft
water (e.g. from water treatment plants) is buffered by a high quan-
tity of carbon dioxide, i.e. it dissolves solids e.g. lime, but also me-
tals etc. The evaluation and recognition of the guarantee, as well
as the right to rectification of defects, replacement, lowering of
the price or cancellation of the contract of purchase is completely
reserved for us as manufacturers and is adjusted according to pro-
portionality.
We take no liability for secondary damages of any kind. The guarantee
period cannot be renewed or extended. The guarantee expires if
repairs or changes have been made by persons who do not belong to
our customer services department. The same thing applies if the type
plate or the appliance number has been removed or made unreadable
or if parts of a separate origin have been added.
