Thank you for choosing a product from Bauerfeind. LumboTrain® is a high-quality
medical product.
Please read through these instructions for use carefully and if you have any
questions contact your doctor, medical retailer or our Technical Service department.
LumboTrain® supports the back muscles and gives fast, effective relief and alleviates back
pain. The viscoelastic pressure pad improves circulation through massage. LumboTrain®
is anatomically shaped and ensures an extremely good t for maximum comfort when
worn. Please bear in mind that the therapeutic result greatly depends on regular use
of the support. According to the latest scienti c tests, there is no indication that back
supports such as LumboTrain® cause muscle weakness.
LumboTrain® must be tted for the rst use by a trained specialist, otherwise we
cannot accept any liability for the product.
Indications
• Acute lumbar syndrome
• Mild form of degeneration/muscular insuf ciency of the spine
• Discectomy
• Conservative treatment after prolapse
Side effects
Side effects involving the body as a whole have not been reported to date. Correct tting
is assumed. Any supports and orthoses
excessively, lead to local pressure signs or, rarely, constrict the underlying blood vessels
or nerves.
Contra-indications
Hypersensitivity reactions harmful to health have not been reported to date.
In the following conditions such aids should only be tted and applied after consultation
with your medical provider:
1. Skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, particularly if in ammation
is present. Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness and excessive heat build-
up.
2. Impaired sensation.
3. Severe restriction of the performance of heart and lungs (risk of a rise in blood
pressure if the aid is worn during severe physical exertion).
Fitting LumboTrain®
1. Wrap the brace around the body, so that the insert is positioned in the middle of the
back.
2. Place ngers in the slits on the right and left sides of the brace and pull forward.
(Fig. 1)
3. Ensure that the left, inner strap lies ush next to the body and is not wrinkled. Pull
the right side outwards and attach using the practical concentric Velcro closure to
ensure a rm hold in this position (Fig. 2).
4. Pull the left ngers out of the slit rst and then the right (Fig. 3).

Important Information
• LumboTrain® is a prescribed product that should be applied under a medical provider.
LumboTrain® should only be applied in accordance with the instructions contained in
these usage directions and for the listed areas of application.
• The product is intented to be tted only once and to one patient.
• Wear the product over a T-shirt or undershirt.
• No liability is accepted for improper use of the product.
• Changes must not be made for the product. Non-compliance can reduce the
performance of the product and thus no liability will be accepted.
• Should you notice any unusual changes (e.g., increased symptoms), please contact
your medical provider without delay.
• A combination with other products must be discussed beforehand with your medical
provider.
• Avoid the use of ointments, lotions or any substances including grease or acids.
• The product can be disposed of without any restrictions.

All Train products can be machine washed separately at 30 °C with liquid detergent.

Please note the following when washing your Train products:
1. For products with Velcro® straps: Remove the straps if possible, or fasten them
securely at the place provided for this purpose.
2. Remove the back pad. Hand wash the back pad.
We recommend using a mesh bag (spin cycle: maximum of 400 revolutions per minute). Air
dry your Train product. Do not dry it in a dryer because this can compromise the knitted
fabric.
Please wash your Train product regularly so that the compression of the knitted fabric can
be retained.
This product has been tested by our in-house quality management system. However,
should you have any complaint, please contact our local expert adviser or our customer
service department.
2 Standardized washing tests show that after 50 washing machine cycles full functionality of the Train active
support is retained. (Liquid detergent was used.)
