Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the DataTraveler
3.0 PIN-activated flash drive.
The DT2000 uses military-grade XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption, which encrypts all data stored on the
drive in real time. The DT2000 requires no software and is OS and host independent.
The DT2000 incorporates a rechargeable battery that allows you to enter a 7-15 digit Personal Identification
Number (PIN) using the on-board keypad before connecting the drive to a USB port.
The DT2000 rechargeable battery is not fully charged out of the box. We
Note:
recommend that you charge the battery prior to first use. To charge, plug the DT2000 in to a
powered USB port for 60 minutes to fully charge the battery.
If the battery loses charge, no changes are made to the drive's security settings, PIN or
content. Simply plug the DT2000 into a USB port and let it recharge to use the drive again.
Should the drive be lost or stolen, you can rest assured that all data held on the DT2000 is safe and cannot be
accessed by any unauthorized person.
The DT2000 can be configured with both a User and Admin PIN, making it perfect for corporate and government
deployment. The DT2000 unlocks using the on-board keypad and is not unlocked by a host computer. It is not
vulnerable to software/hardware-based key loggers or brute force attacks.
Caution:
Although it can be used straight out of the box with the default PIN, for security reasons we
highly recommend that you create a new User PIN immediately by following the
instructions in the
inaccessible.
