Place an empty pot, casserole, saucepan or frying pan on the cooker set to upper medium. Wait 2 to 5 minutes depending on the type of the
cooker. Then test whether the pot is properly pre-heated: drip several drops of water onto the bottom. The pot is properly pre-heated if the drops
quickly move on the bottom. If this happens, set the cooker to minimum output.
Place washed and properly dried meat onto the bottom. In contact with the pre-heated bottom the pores of the meat contract and the meat sticks
to the bottom. Do not try to get the meat unstuck!
After about 3 minutes the meat separates from the bottom automatically. Turn the meat and follow the same procedure.
Cover the pot (casserole, etc.) and cook at the lowest output for the necessary time. Do not forget to take into account the heat accumulation
properties of the bottom and turn off the cooker in advance.
Water-free cooking
You can make use of the water naturally contained in foodstuffs. Cooking without water is therefore particularly suitable for fresh
and frozen vegetables. Water-free cooking preserves all the vitamins contained in the vegetables. You will also get the best of the
natural taste.
Put cleaned and washed vegetables into the pot. Do not dry the vegetables before cooking. Fill the pot to a maximum of 2/3 of the volume.
Put a cover on the pot and place the pot on the cooker. Set the cooker to upper medium. After 2 to 5 minutes when the bottom is heated switch
the cooker to low output.
Always set the output so as to ensure that a minimum of steam escapes from the pot. Avoid unnecessary raising of the cover. If necessary, add
several spoons of water to the pot.
Use only the minimum necessary amount of salt, and always salt at the end of cooking.
Cleaning and maintenance
Wash and dry thoroughly before first use. To permanently preserve its perfect appearance, always cook in properly cleaned cookware!
Wash with normal agents or special agents for stainless steel. We recommend the cleaning liquid CLINOX for a perfect result. Never use aggressive
materials, chemicals, sand-based cleaning agents, sharp objects or scourers for cleaning.
The COMFORT cookware is dishwasher safe. Dry the cookware thoroughly immediately after you remove it from the dishwasher.
Soak cookware with excessive dirt in water or detergent solution.
If white specks occur inside the cookware, clean it with vinegar, several drops of lemon or the special liquid for stainless steel cookware, CLINOX.
The white specks are the sediments of mineral substances present in water, and their deposition is given by local conditions and the hardness of water.
You will best reduce them by not salting before the water starts boiling. The white specks do not in any respect limit functionality or hygienic safety
of the cookware. They do not constitute defective products and cannot be the subject of a claim.
Violet or even brown shades may occur on the surface of the cookware if a pot (casserole, etc.) is overheated. This does not in any respect affect
the functionality or hygienic safety of the cookware, does not constitute a defective product and cannot be the subject of a claim.
10 USEFUL TIPS FOR COOKING IN COMFORT COOKWARE
1. You can cook in COMFORT cookware on gas, electric and vitro-ceramic cookers. It is not suitable for ovens of any type.
2. When cooking on gas, make sure that the size of the cooking range does not exceed the diameter of the bottom of the pot. The flame must not
expand over the bottom rim.
3. Set the cooker to the minimum possible. Almost as a rule you will go well with the cooker set between 1 and 2.
4. Make use of the heat accumulation properties of the bottom. Turn off the cooker in advance.
5. Make sure that a minimum of steam escapes from the vessel when cooking. If steam escapes, turn the cover slightly or reduce cooker output.
6. Avoid unnecessary raising of the cover.
7. Never preheat empty cookware.
8. Reduce salting to a minimum. Meals cooked in COMFORT preserve a distinctive flavour. If salting is necessary, salt when the water starts boiling
or after the cooking finishes.
9. To preserve perfect appearance of the cookware, give it proper care. Cook in cleaned cookware only.
10. Never use damaged cookware. Contact your retailer if your cookware has been damaged.
