Sterile container system
Inserting the indicator seal
Once the sterile container is loaded, enter the following data on
indicator seal 7: Date of sterilization, sterilization number, expiry date,
name and signature.
Slide the indicator seal 7 from outside into indicator seal retainer 6 in
such a way that the indicator segment engages in the slot on the lid
lock and seals the lock.
Loading the sterilizer
Observe the following rules when prepare the sterile container and the
sterilizer for loading the sterilizer:
Risk of vacuum damage to the sterile container due to
unbalanced pressurization!
Do not use outer packaging for the sterile
WARNING
containers.
Do not block the air flow through the perforation
fields in the bottom and the inner lid under any
circumstances (applicable to all container types).
Do not place foil packaging directly on the sterile
container.
Follow the sterilizer manufacturer's instructions.
Whenever possible, load the sterilizer with a mixture of textiles and
instrument containers.
Always place heavy sterile containers at the bottom of the sterilizer.
VARIO containers must be sterilized with their outer lids attached.
Always carry the sterile containers by their handles.
Stack sterile containers in the sterilizer if necessary.
Transport stacks of sterile containers in such a way that the stacks will
not topple.

Sterilization method and parameters
Risk of sterilization failure!
Sterilize the sterile containers though approved and
validated sterilization processes only.
CAUTION
Sterilize with steam and comply with the following rule:
Sterilization must be carried out through a validated steam
sterilization process (e.g. in a sterilizer according to EN 285/ANSI/
AAMI/ISO 11134-1993, ANSI/AAMI ST46-1993, and validated
according to EN ISO 17665 or EN 554/ISO 13683).
Unloading the sterilizer
Risk of burns due to hot sterile containers after
sterilization!
Always work with protective gloves.
WARNING
Transporting the sterile container
Risk of unsterility of sterile supplies!
Always carry the sterile containers by their handles.
Never lift or carry a sterile container at the lid.
CAUTION
Transport sterile containers in such a way that
mechanical damage is prevented.
