12.2. Maintenance interval: Mechanical components

Carry out the maintenance and tests at the intervals listed below. Replace defective mechanical components
immediately.
Action
Inspection of the attachment of the door safety switch
Visual inspection of the kiln casing
Visual inspection of the screw connection of the kiln
to the floor
Visual inspection of the kiln door
Visual inspection of the door mechanism
(Door hinge and doorstop)
Check the insulating cord of the kiln door,
adjust it if necessary
Visual inspection of the ELS kiln floor
Check the sealing strip of the ELS kiln floor
Visual inspection of the firing chamber insulation
Visual inspection of the SiC base plates
Visual inspection of the furniture material
Visual inspection of the outside of the electrical
box/switch cabinet
Visual inspection of the exhaust air duct
Visual inspection of the air supply handling
Visual inspection of the cooling fan
(if necessary, change the intake filter, if installed)
Clean the outside of the kiln
Clean the firing chamber
Clean the ELS kiln floor
(especially the rails and rollers of the drive
mechanism)
Visual inspection of the clamp, plug and screw
connections on the kiln
