Connecting the tubing

The roll pump tubing should be connected by the circulator.
To connect the tubing, release the locking device in the roll pump housing and open it
completely. Swivel the cover plate upwards: the roller mechanism is now free.
Place the elastic part of the roll pump tubing on the side near the rinsing fluid input into
the upper device of the tubing guide and guide the elastic part of the tubing over the
rollers. Place the output side of the elastic section into the lower area of the tubing guide,
close the cover plate and lock.
The tubing is connected properly when the green clip ring of the tubing is aligned with the
G
green mark on the guide.
Close and lock the cover plate.
B
NOTE:
Connect pressure sensor to the jack.
Puncture the rinsing fluid bags with the needles on the tubing. If only one rinsing fluid bag
is being used, seal the second rinsing fluid line with an additional clip.
Then turn the ON/standby switch to ON.
The surgical staff takes the sterile patient tubing out of the sterile pack and hands the
connection for the BaktoSafe connector for the roll pump tubing to the circulator.
The circulator connects the two tubing systems.
WARNING:
NOTE:
8
The locking device must lock securely. A switch in the cover plate prevents
the machine from operating if the mechanical section is not locked securely.
The patient tubing must be changed for each patient.
Every roll pump tubing is supplied with a sterile BaktoSafe cap. The roll
pump tubing can be used throughout the entire day of surgery.
