persons responsible bear the responsibility and the risk. When
using this product in the areas of rescuing and personal protec-
tive equipment, we recommend that the relevant national reg-
ulations be observed.
If original components are modified or removed from the prod-
uct, its safety aspects may be restricted. The equipment should
not be modified in any way or altered to allow attachment of
additional parts without the manufacturer's written recommen-
dation.
Maximum lifespan under optimal storage conditions (see
section on storage) and without use: unlimited
Storage
Temperature for permanent storage approx. –10 °C to +30 °C,
dry and protected from sunlight.
Avoid contact with chemicals (caution: battery acid!) or corro-
sive substances. Store without mechanical stress caused by
jamming, pressure or tension.
CLIMATE REQUIREMENTS
The permanent use temperature of the product (in dry condi-
tion) ranges from approx. -30°C to +60°C.
All product-related documents must be handed to the user or
personnel responsible for use of the equipment (the person
installing the wall must hand all instructions for use to the op-
erator of the hall!)
Outdoor use, especially when involving high humidity and/or
salt content in the air is not allowed, since function and safety
will be adversely affected in the long run.
SAFETY NOTICES
When combining this product with other components, the safety
aspects of the products may interfere with each other.
Before and after use, check the device for signs of damage (e. g.
deformation, fissures and corrosion); ensure its fitness for use
and proper functioning. The equipment must be discarded imme-
diately if there is even the slightest doubt as to its serviceability.
Generally, the product must be withdrawn from use immediately
if it shows sign of damage; it shall then be turned over to a qual-
ified person or the manufacturer for inspection and/or repair.

Assembly
All bolts must be tightened to the torque indicated by the man-
ufacturer. The Topper Station must as a minimum be fastened
in the fastening points a and b to protection points designed to
bear 20 kN (conforming to EN 12572-1) using bolts as required
in the standards listed in Fig. 1a. Fastening point c must be
fastened to the wall construction (≥ 18 mm multiplex board) as
shown in Fig. 1a. The assembly area must be selected such that
the maximum operating range sketched in the figures (Fig.
2a/b and 3) is not exceeded. Depending on the situation at
hand, the installation point should be adapted to the wall
design; the best possible location should be chosen.
The Topper Station Refit is installed using a 10 mm steel screwed
connector to EN 12275 or EN 362, which must be connected
to two protection points designed according to EN 12572-1.
The information provided by the manufacturer of the screwed
connector must be observed. To fix its position on the wall, the
Hanger must be fastened at the holes on its side wings to the
load bearing board with bolts defined in Fig. 1b.
To help minimise rope friction for use as top rope station, we
recommend fastening the snap lock with an M4 x 8 bolt as
shown in the drawing. (Fig. 4)
