5.2.6.6.1. STANDBY MODE (Figure 10-13-14
With the Standby mode you can choose the maximum time the monitor image remains active
(1, 3 or 5 minutes); after this time the image disappears but the sound continues to be heard in
order to save energy. To reactivate the image, just press any key.
Click on the icon
camera between the ones connected to the monitor.
You can then enable or disable the feature and choose the max time that the image remains
active (1, 3 or 5 minutes).
Note: If the device is in Standby mode and you do not wish to wait 1, 3 or 5 minutes for the
screen to turn itself off, press the power button (6) to turn it on immediately.
5.2.6.6.2. VOX MODE (Figure 10-11-12
This mode allows you to control the sound activation of your baby monitor. If you activate the
VOX mode on the monitor and there is no sound around the camera, it stops transmitting.
However, it continues to pick up sounds using a minimum level of power. The monitor screen
turns off when the camera is not transmitting. When the camera detects any sound louder than
the set sensitivity level it will start transmitting the signal to the monitor again.
To disable this feature and see the area monitored continuously, turn off the VOX mode on the
monitor.
· VOX mode OFF: The camera transmits continuously, allowing you to monitor your baby or the
area you wish to monitor continuously.
· VOX mode ON: The camera only transmits when it detects a sound with sufficient intensity,
according to the level selected, around the camera.
Sound sensitivity
Some babies are noisier than others! You can customize the sensitivity of your baby monitor to
suit your baby. Set "high" sensitivity for a baby that sleeps peacefully and cries quietly and "low"
sensitivity if the baby tends to make noise while sleeping or makes fairly loud noises before
actually crying, or set it to a "medium" level if you consider that your baby's behavior does not fit
either of the two previous patterns.
To activate this function, first of all make sure you have set the Standby mode to 1,3 or 5 minutes
(see point 5.2.6.6.1.). Choose 1,3 or 5 if you want your camera to stop transmitting the image
after 1,3 or 5 minutes if there is no sound around.
Then, click on the icon
camera between the ones already connected to the monitor. You can then enable or disable the
feature and choose the sensitivity level of the camera; i.e. the sound threshold above which the
camera will start transmitting. To reactivate the image, just press any key.
You can also control this feature from the main screen. Click on the icon (f) and it will appear
with the sensitivity level (LO, ME, HI) or with a cross to disable the VOX feature. Changes made
directly on the home screen only affect the camera that is picking up the images shown.
Note 1: If the device is in VOX mode and you do not wish to wait 1, 3 or 5 minutes for the screen
to turn itself off, press the power button (6) to turn it on immediately.
Note 2: To turn on the screen press any button.
