The instructions for use, which accompanies
this product, may be revised from time to time
and must therefore be reviewed prior to each
procedure in which the product is used.
Before starting any rehabilitation activity
involving the TheraBite system and ActiveBand
every user should consider the benefits of
medically supervised programs. Clinicians
may select and combine exercises to form
programs that are appropriate for each user's
abilities and goals.
1. Descriptive information

1.1 Intended use

The TheraBite
silicone band used together with the TheraBite
Jaw Mobilizer to increase and/or maintain
muscle strength and endurance of the muscles
of mastication (chewing muscles).
The TheraBite ActiveBand is intended for
single-patient use only.
1.2 Contraindications
Contraindications as described in the
instructions for use for TheraBite Jaw Motion
Rehabilitation System apply.
1.3 Description of the device
TheraBite ActiveBand is an unsterile elastic
silicone band for single patient use. It is
looped around the Lever of the TheraBite Jaw
Mobilizer. The ActiveBand's position on the
Load Scale determines the level of resistance.
The complete TheraBite ActiveBand Kit
includes the following items (one each):

1.4 Expectations of the device
The TheraBite ActiveBand is an accessory for
active training of the jaw closing muscles. It
can be used as a stand-alone treatment method,
or as a complement to passive motion training.
