u Switch on the monitor and camera as previously described.
u The monitor picture should show the tail and/or bumper of your
vehicle at the bottom edge of the picture (see . J 1). The centre
of the bumper should also be in the centre of the monitor screen.
To achieve the correct setting turn the camera in the camera holder
(see . J 2).
u Once you have set the camera correctly, tighten the 4 screws of the
camera fastening.
Attention: The camera plug connection does not provide any
protection against moisture. Make sure that you seal the
connection point using the sealing strip supplied in order to
prevent damage.
TIPP: To minimise corrosion in the connector we recommend
inserting some grease, e.g. pole grease into one of the
connectors.
To minimise corrosion of the screws we recommend greasing the
threads.

Installation and use of the distance scale

The monitor kit includes a distance scale to assist you in estimating
distances on the monitor (see . K 1).
u Affix the distance scale on the monitor (see . K 2).
u Place an object (e.g. carton, carbage can) within the detection range
of the camera and switch on the reversing video system. Move this
object so that it is positioned beneath a scale division. The now
measurable distance from the object to the outer rear area (e.g. fourth
scale graduation mark to the trailer coupling = 2 m) will serve as the
orientational value in the future (see . K 3).
Attention: This orientational value changes when the camera is
turned in the holder (e.g. when coming in contact with an
obstacle).
