Selecting pre-set programmes.
Programmes
There are 12 preset programmes for you to choose from and you can change the time
and speed in all of them. The preset programmes have a preset time of 30 minutes
that is divided into 20 segments of 1.5 minutes (each representing 5 % of the total
time selected). Refer to the table below:
1. Press PROG. until the desired programme is displayed in the LED panel.
2. Select the time between 5 and 60 minutes with the speed buttons.
3. Press START - the machine will beep and the program will start automatically.
Monitoring calories and heart rate
Press PULSE/CAL once to monitor the number of calories you have burned. Press
PULSE/CAL twice and place your thumbs on the silver heart rate sensors to monitor
your heart rate.
Stopping the machine
Simply press STOP on the control panel or remove the safety key and the machine will
stop instantly.

ADJUSTING THE RUNNING SURFACE
If the running surface becomes loose it can be adjusted by tightening both sides
evenly. Turn the adjusters clockwise to tighten the running surface. Turning them
counterclockwise will loosen the running surface.
lf the running surface moves to one side, adjust it by tightening the loose side. Turning
clockwise will tighten the running belt, while turning counterclockwise will loosen it.
It is recommended to make small adjustments i.e. quarter or half turns. Tightening the
running surface too much could the machine.
EXERCICING INFORMATION
Beginning
How to begin exercising will vary from person to person. lf you have not exercised for a
long period of time, have been inactive for a while, or are severely overweight, you MUST
start slowly, increasing your exercise time gradually (only a few minutes per session and
week).
Combine a balanced nutritious diet with a simple but effective exercise routine. It will
help you feel better.
Aerobic fitness
Aerobic exercise is simply defined as any sustained activity that increases the supply of
oxygen to your muscles via the blood pumped by your heart. With regular exercise, your
cardiovascular system will become stronger and more efficient. Your recovery rate i. e.
the time taken for your heart to reach its normal resting level, will also decrease.
lnitially you may only be able to exercise for a few minutes each day. Do not hesitate to
breathe through your mouth if you need more oxygen. Use the "talk test": if you cannot
