System operation
The Degas EcoAdd consists of the degas valve ( Fig. 65 , item 2) and the connection
cable with connector ( Fig. 65 , item 3).
The Degas EcoAdd enables automatic degassing during the metering of outgassing
media for the EcoAdd diaphragm metering pump.
The degassing valve can be installed directly on the pump pressure valve and is
controlled by the software integrated into the metering pump.
The degassing function can be selected on the display only if a corresponding
degassing valve is connected (plug-and-play function). Once the degassing
function has been activated, a valve symbol appears in the pump display
(see Fig. 65 , item 8). If this does not occur, check the electrical installation
(
Ä 'Connecting the degassing cable to the pump' on page 121 ).
If the degassing valve opens whilst the metering pump is running, the medium containing
gas bubbles is directed through the return line (item 7) into the container (item 5) until
the degassing valve closes again. The times when and for how long the degassing valve
opens can be freely selected using the pump menu. When the degassing valve is closed,
the pump conveys the entire volume to the metering line (item 1).
